A Sr. Specialist Salvage & Logistics
Location: Newhaven, East Sussex, UK

Duties – assist the Managing Director, Europe, in commercial, operational and logistical functions. Co-ordinates logistical and operational support requirements of projects worldwide. Performs on-site cost and resource tracking for billing purposes. Responsible for ordering and approving purchases for materials, supplies and services. Liaison with Purchasing, Accounting and Human Resources to support operations. Short notice travel, extended international travel, weekend duties and 24-hour ‘call on’ status are essential job requirements. Must be in good health and fit. Valid passport and full UK driving licence required. Must reside in the UK.

Education – an appropriate degree is preferred but relevant professional qualifications will also be considered.

Experience – experience within a marine-related environment is an advantage, especially marine transportation or marine emergency response. Strong verbal and written communication skills essential. IT literacy essential especially in Windows XP and Microsoft Office modules. Candidates without appropriate experience but with the right attitude, personality and aptitude will be considered.
